Years at Bay: 32

Quick facts:
Born in Brooklyn, NY. Has lived in the Cleveland area since '62. Graduated from Ashland University in '70.

What are you favorite three hobbies?
Walking, golf, and skiing, but I haven't skied a while. I suppose travel will suffice as the third, considering my list of destinations will be longer than that of my life expectancy!

What was your favorite meal growing up?
A common lunch growing up was sardines on saltine crackers served with black bean soup. My mother was from Bean-town (AKA Boston, Mass) so there were also many baked bean sandwiches.

What is the best part about Cleveland/NE Ohio?
It's a great place to raise a family, as it has so much to offer. We have a number of professional sports teams. I cannot leave out the great cultural activities; the world-class Cleveland Orchestra, a great theatre district, and The Cleveland Museum of Art, to name a few.

What are your top values?
I value family, friendships, and striving to live life with a high sense of honesty and integrity.

What is your current favorite meal?
Lamb

Least favorite meal?
Soft shell crab

Proudest accomplishment?
Giving back to the community means a lot to me. I have been helped by many great people over the course of my life, so when I can help others it feels very satisfying. My work sitting on three boards and in private charitable foundations have been very rewarding also.

Eat a worm or bungee-jumping?
Bungee jumping, I can't see myself eating a worm (unless of course, if it was covered in chocolate....... Ha!)

Dog or cat?
Seeing how they're called "man's best friend"... dog.

What is one thing that nobody knows about you?
I enjoy watching shows about ancient Egypt and the Mayans on the History Channel, and reading books about Native Americans tribes of the southwest.

Which Cleveland sports team will be the first to win a championship this century?
That is anyone's guess, although I recently heard that a certain NBA player who made a "decision" to go to South Beach could be back in Cleveland in few years.................we'll see.

You have the ability to teleport for one day. Where do you go/what do you do?
I would love to go back in time long enough to observe ancient Egypt, or maybe the Mayan Civilization.

How would you use the superpower of your choice?
If I had the power, I would institute world peace.
